Sea Freight
At Quantelio, we simplify the complexities of international trade. Our sea freight services are designed to provide you with the most cost-effective and dependable way to transport large volumes of goods across the globe. Whether you are shipping raw materials or finished products like our Premium Broken Rice, we ensure your cargo reaches its destination safely and on time.
Our Core Services
Full Container Load (FCL): Maximum security and efficiency for large shipments. We offer dedicated containers (20ft, 40ft, and High Cube) to ensure your goods move without interference.
Less than Container Load (LCL): Perfect for smaller shipments. We consolidate your cargo with others to give you the benefit of sea freight pricing without needing a full container.
Refrigerated (Reefer) Services: Specialized temperature-controlled containers for perishable goods, ensuring freshness from port to port.
Port-to-Port & Door-to-Door: Flexible logistics options tailored to your supply chain needs, including inland transportation and final-mile delivery.
FCL (Full Container Load) means you have the exclusive use of an entire 20ft or 40ft container for your goods. LCL (Less than Container Load) allows you to share container space with other shippers, which is a more cost-effective option for smaller shipments that don't require a full container.
Transit times depend on the route and distance. Generally, short-sea shipments (within the same continent) take 7–14 days, while long-haul international routes (e.g., Asia to Europe or the US) can take anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks. This does not include time for port handling and customs clearance.
Yes, sea freight is significantly more economical for large or heavy shipments. While air freight is faster, sea freight can be up to 5–6 times less expensive, making it the preferred choice for bulk commodities like rice, machinery, and raw materials.
Rates are primarily based on the volume (Cubic Meters) or weight of the cargo, the chosen container type, and the specific shipping route. Additional factors include fuel surcharges (BAF), currency adjustments (CAF), and seasonal demand fluctuations.
These are storage and equipment fees applied when containers aren't moved on time. Demurrage occurs when a container stays inside the port past the allowed "free days," while Detention is charged when an empty container is not returned to the shipping line's depot within the agreed timeframe
Sustainable & Secure Shipping
We understand that your cargo is your investment. Quantelio prioritizes high-safety standards and sustainable practices to minimize the environmental impact of long-haul shipping while ensuring the physical integrity of every pallet.
